Summertime Housing Complex, Amsterdam
Before starting construction, HFB created a 3D model so that BAM, the company responsible for the construction of the project, could see what Summertime would look like in the real environment.
The team used the laser scanning and the point clouds to create a digital replica of the 197 Summertime rooms, within 10 minutes per room - a much faster result than a manual measurement. Software-based processes have also been used to detect clashes and simulation of construction.
Construction is underway and HFB is currently using cloud-based construction technology to enable field teams to access the latest project data via BIM 360 Field and BIM 360 Glue. By leveraging these digital tools, teams were able to more effectively manage the project from rebar control to security controls.
